Day 2 of Blogging

So this is my second day of blogging. I've decided to up my readership and sent the link to this thing to some of my friends, who may or may not chose to read it.

Now comes the decisions of what to blog about.

When I was younger, I kept a diary for a year. I wasn't always good at writing in it every day. Some days, nothing exciting happened so I didn't write on those days. I guess the same will happen with the blog. Some days I'll have absolutely nothing to say or maybe I'll have lots to say but no time to talk about it.

Take yesterday for example. I had a pretty busy day at work (not that I could blog from work anyway). Right after work, I met a couple of my oldest and dearest friends for dinner. I wore my new kick-ass boots. One day I will post a photo of these kick-ass boots. Surprised myself when I bought them and then could wear them without breaking my neck.

Anyway, we went to this great little restaurant on Augusta Ave. for dinner, pigged out and caught up on what's been going on in our busy lives. Conversations are private and not to be transcribed on the world wide web but suffice to say we talked about our jobs, kids, pets, spouses, siblings, aging parents and the merits or there lack of of aging.

We're all up at the crack of dawn so no late nights, not like when we were younger and could stay out late, up early and still be functional at work. Those days are long gone. But I cherish these get togethers and am looking forward to the next one.

To blog or not to blog

To blog or not to blog?

That is a question I've been asking myself for quite some time. What's the purpose of a blog? To rant and rave? To discuss topics that interest me? To write my thoughts, my hopes, my dreams? Will anyone else care?

Do I discuss the my dog's adventures? my teenagers? What about the fish that swim in my aquarium, will anyone care about their adventures? Do I?

What about my favourite books or movies, stories I'm working on or should be working on? Are these things worth blogging about?

Gossip, everyone likes gossip. But who do I gossip about?

And who reads these things anyway? For now, I'll have a readership of one, perhaps two, when I send Lis the link to my blog.
